At Seacon Logistics, we are very happy with our clients. To emphasise that, we like to share stories of interesting partnerships with you. Explaining his experiences is: Eric Buijs, Transport Planner & Manager at Euramax.
Euramax is a global leader in premium coil coated aluminium and steel. The company has been in operation for 50 years and has offices in Roermond and Corby (United Kingdom). Euramax's mission is to colour the world and make it more beautiful.
Premium coil coated aluminium and steel from Euramax is used in the caravan industry, transportation sector and the construction industry. Applications of the materials include walls and roofs for buses, trailers, caravans and aluminium facade cladding for buildings. Each year they produce 15,000 kilometres of coated aluminium for customers worldwide.
“Seacon's proactive involvement in the logistics process and their smart solutions are extremely valuable contributions that ensure our customers can receive their products on time.”Eric Buijs Transport Planner & Manager
“Seacon Logistics supports and arranges the shipments of products to our customers all over the world. They are one of our regular distribution partners and we have worked together to complete satisfaction for many years," says Eric. “Euramax uses several logistics solutions from Seacon. Every weekly, several containers are shipped by sea to countries such as New Zealand, Israel, America and Canada. Other shipments of products are exported weekly via road transport to the UK. We also occasionally use air freight solutions, on average once every three weeks."
“Coil coating is a sensitive process. Everything is customised: from specific colours, materials and design to the specific shine of the finish. Aluminium is also sensitive to damage. If we are forced to deviate from the initial planning at a certain moment, and this delays the transport that has already been booked, Seacon always comes up with an alternative solution fast. They are excellent at dealing with unexpected situations and are also very flexible. That makes for a pleasant working relationship," continues Eric.
“We use air freight for time-critical shipments. Seacon recently coordinated a shipment of more than 33 tons of aluminium to Tokyo (Japan) to construct refrigerated trucks. And on a previous occasion, Seacon organised the complete logistics process for around 350,000 m2 of coated aluminium destined for Ferrari World in Abu Dhabi."
“For a large project for a new customer in Chengdu (China) we decide to use rail freight. As this form of shipping was new for us, Seacon provided advice and support. One portion of the consignment was exported to China by rail and the other part by sea freight. Seacon's proactive involvement in the logistics process and their smart solutions are extremely valuable contributions that ensure our customers can receive their products on time."
