Ouverture 25th anniversary Seacon and the 'Seacon Calendar' presentation

On 3 December, the Seacon Calendar was presented during a well-attended meeting in Domani, Venlo. This event was held for the second consecutive time. The calendar was made by artist Guus Van Eck, supported by Erik Wijnhoven and Theo Doesborgh. To reflect Seacon’s maritime character the chosen theme of the calendar was 'Ports of the World'.

Hai Berden was the first to take the floor. He praised the calendar, indicating that its presentation was a prelude to Seacon’s coming anniversary year. After Hai Berden’s ‘kickoff’, the first copy of the calendar was presented to the Mayor of Venlo, Mr Hubert Bruls. After this, the audience was given a foretaste of the calendar in the form of a number of beautiful illustrations on a large screen. Erik Wijnhoven and Theo Doesborgh gave a detailed explanation about the twelve towns depicted on the calendar. The official part was followed by an informal get together, where all the guests could mingle while enjoying snacks and drinks. At the same time, they could admire other work by Guus Van Eck. Just like Hai Berden, the artist also personally signed all the calendars for the guests.
