Seacon Logistics to be Floriade’s Logistics Service Partner
March 31th Seacon Logistics and Floriade announced that Seacon Logistics will act as the Floriade’s Logistics Service Partner from now until, during and after the 2012 Floriade in Venlo. In a manner befitting Seacon Logistics, the company will showcase the Floriade at the Groningen-VVV-Venlo football match on Sunday 3 April.
In this partnership Seacon Logistics will be responsible for the overall logistic handling of the flows of goods of the official Floriade exhibitors from the European borders to the Floriade site. The agreement also covers temporary storage of the goods and optional export after the Floriade. Managing director Corné Geerts and forwarding and transport director Frank Hermans see the Floriade and this alliance as an important step in the further development of Venlo as an economic growth region and the positioning of Seacon Logistics as a socially committed partner. “For 25 years Seacon Logistics’ concept has been the efficient, environmentally-friendly transport of goods. The Floriade is entirely in keeping with our strategy to expand our concept to include agribusiness. And the Floriade’s green character will underline the environmentally-friendly image that Seacon Logistics aims to create,” explains Frank Hermans.
Paul Beck, the Floriade’s managing director, is delighted to be able to welcome yet another major regional company with an international allure as a partner. “In Seacon Logistics the Floriade has found a reliable partner, which will take excellent care of the logistic handling of the materials of the Floriade’s foreign participants.”
Today, VVV-Venlo and Seacon Logistics presented the new shirt for the FC Groningen-VVV-Venlo game scheduled for 3 April. As a gesture on the part of Seacon Logistics, the Floriade will feature as a sponsor on the shirts worn by the VVV-Venlo players
